The Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Dagfinn Høybråten, draws attention to bioeconomy in his blog, in connection to several bieconomy events in Iceland this week.
A shift to a sustainable economy - or bioeconomy - is high on the agenda, both in the public and the private sector. In the EU, bioeconomy is one of five prioritised areas in the coming years, Høybråten writes.
In addition to Nordregio Forum, the Nordic ministers for business, energy and regional policies will meet to discuss issues related to growth and climate.
