On August 28, 2012, a cross-border labour platform for the Central Baltic region was launched in Stockholm. The platform provides information for job and education seekers willing to move to Latvia, Estonia, Finland or Sweden as well as for employers looking for qualified workers.
As outcome of the Central Baltic Job Ferry project the multilingual web platform was introduced and officially launched. Based on the most demanded professions in the Central Baltic region the platform contains information concerning (for instance):
- Specific requirements to start working abroad
- Legal and social regulations
- Level of salaries for certain professions
- Education opportunities
- Employer's organizations and potential employers
The platform is now available online: Central Baltic Job Ferry. The platform is currently being complemented with more job profiles and other information.
Next workshop on cross-border labour mobility in the Central Baltic region:
- Riga/Latvia on October 11, 2012
- Turku/Finland November 2012
Save the date for the Central Baltic Job Ferry project Final Conference in Riga/Latvia on 18-19 March 2013.
