New deputy director comes from Greenland

Klaus Georg Hansen has been employed as new deputy director of Nordregio with focus on HR management and senior research fellow. Klaus Georg Hansen is 49 years old and comes from a position as Head of Department for Spatial planning in the Government of Greenland.

Based in social sciences as anthropologist Klaus Georg Hansen has also gained formal qualifications in teaching, librarianship, and both corporate and project management.

- At Nordregio we will over the next years finish several major multiannual projects, and connected to that we need to focus more on our HR management, director Ole Damsgaard explains.

From his former positions Klaus Georg Hansen has broad experience in managing extensive projects, staff development and corporate change management.

In his research Klaus Georg Hansen will be involved in projects on demography and other topics both in Norden as such and especially in the West Nordic area.
